Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of commercial properties to ensure the safety and functionality of all systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire life safety, etc.).
Perform reactive and preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and improve building efficiency.
Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs and services.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting systems and plumbing.
Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests from tenants or building management.
Keep accurate records of all maintenance work completed, including inventory management.
Assist with any additional tasks needed to support the smooth running of the property.
Participate in rotating on-call schedule to respond to after-hours emergencies in property portfolio in Alexandria and Springfield VA properties.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in commercial building maintenance (minimum 5 years).
Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and energy management systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
Relevant certifications preferred.
Fully registered vehicle and local State driving license required to travel to different properties required.
