Senior Quality Engineer – Cleveland, OH (West side)
Arrowhead Talent Solutions is partnering with an aerospace manufacturer in Cleveland, OH (West side) to fill a Senior Quality Engineer position. This role focuses on ensuring product conformity across all value streams and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure product conformity across all the Value Streams of the Cleveland OH facility
Support calibration, quality control and quality assurance systems.
Develop and implement quality standards/practices for inspection, testing, and product/process evaluation.
Partner with Enterprise Quality to ensure alignment that meets customers, standard agencies, and company QMS.
Support the Quality Inspection function to ensure products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
Analyze in‑process customer/purchase orders and ensure compliance with QMS and customer requirements.
Partner with other functions at Cleveland to ensure continuous improvement in product and process efficiencies by prioritizing and reducing costs associated with defects, escapes, rework, and scrap.
Represent Quality as part of a cross‑functional team for continuous improvement projects, material review board (MRB), root cause/corrective action (RCCA), customer concerns, etc.
Establish and supervise statistical process control (SPC) system for process monitoring.
Prepare reports, as required, on QMS performance, RCCA, etc.
Serve as an internal auditor for process/product auditing.
Experience in AS9102 FAI process.
Experience in AS9100 QMS.
Strong in Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, PPT, Word.
Active participant in APQP process.
Other duties related to Quality Assurance and Control, as required.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (typically in Business or STEM) and a minimum of 7+ years of prior relevant experience (Aerospace manufacturing quality roles) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Experience with quality standards including AS9105, AS9100D, AS9101/2/3, ISO9001:2015 or equivalent from other industries.
Experience in Continuous Improvement (CI) tools (commonly evidenced by “belts” or Lean/RCCA certifications).
Advanced experience in root cause problem‑solving/RCCA.
Significant experience in data and trend analysis.
Able to communicate and make presentations to senior site leadership.
