Gatik is seeking a highly skilled
Wire Harness Engineer
with a strong electrical engineering background to support the design, development, and integration of complex automotive-grade wiring systems for autonomous vehicle platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Design and route highly complex automotive-grade wire harnesses with multiple branches, splices, breakouts, and high-density connections.
Develop and maintain Zuken databases, create wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and complete documentation packages.
Select and integrate automotive-grade connectors, terminals, shielding, and sealing components based on system requirements.
Work with CAN networks and LIN, and have familiarity with Automotive Ethernet (bonus).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Electrical, Mechanical, Integration, Software) to ensure seamless integration of electronic and hardware components.
Validate harness designs through fit checks, bench builds, and support vehicle-level integration.
Troubleshoot wiring issues, ensure proper grounding, shielding, and EMIEMC considerations in harness design.
Requirements
Strong Electrical Engineering background — this role requires a true harness engineer, not just a routing engineer.
Demonstrated expertise in designing and routing complex automotive harnesses.
Expert-level proficiency with Zuken (E3 or similar), including building databases and creating high-quality harness drawings.
Excellent understanding of automotive connectors, CAN bus architecture, wire specs, and network topology.
Experience integrating electronics and hardware components in automotive or similar environments.
