AAA Auto Club Enterprises The Automobile Club of Southern California is seeking a General Accountant to support our Motor Club Accounting team processing invoices, preparing journal entries, and month‑end close. What You’ll Do:
Prepare recurring and non‑recurring journal entries, research and resolve reporting errors or discrepancies in a timely manner. Perform monthly analysis of expense and revenue variances to budget. Perform monthly reconciliations accurately and investigate and resolve reconciling items. Perform other month‑end duties and assist in preparing financial reports and data on a timely basis. Prepare quarterly cost allocation studies. Assist in identifying and documenting processes and procedures. Work cross‑functionally with other team members to gain understanding of business and data requirements to ensure general ledger balances are correct, transactions are classified properly and reported accurately. Perform ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned or required. Process payments to vendors in a timely manner. Assist management in ad hoc projects. What You’ll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 1–2 years of progressive and relevant accounting experience. Experience working in a fast‑paced and heavily deadline‑driven environment. Large ERP system experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and with different departments within the organization. Attention to detail, strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness, ensuring high‑quality work and minimizing errors. Independent problem‑solving ability, with demonstrated capacity to analyze challenges independently and devise effective solutions. Initiative and proactivity, a proactive approach to tasks and responsibilities, seeking opportunities to improve processes and contribute to team success. Salary Range:
$28.19 – $37.55 per hour Benefits:
