Key Responsibilities
Functional & Technical Expertise
Serve as the subject matter expert for Oracle Fusion Cloud integration with Vertex for tax.
Lead end-to-end solution design and configuration for P2P/AP tax determination using the Vertex Connector.
Ensure alignment of tax rules, jurisdictions, product taxability, and reporting requirements between Oracle Fusion and Vertex.
Integration & Configuration
Configure and maintain Oracle Fusion Vertex connectors, including tax mappings, transaction attributes, and integration touchpoints.
Manage data flows between Fusion (AP, Purchasing) and Vertex (O Series or Cloud).
Troubleshoot integration issues, tax calculation discrepancies, and connector performance.
S2P / AP Process Enablement
Support S2P processes including requisitioning, purchasing, invoicing, and payment workflows.
Ensure accurate tax determination for AP invoices, purchase orders, credit memos, and supplier configurations.
Optimize AP tax processes for compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
Project Delivery & Governance
Lead workshops with business users, tax SMEs, finance teams, and IT stakeholders.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications and solution designs.
Prepare configuration documents, functional design documents (FDDs), test scripts, and training materials.
Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, and cutover activities.
Compliance, Controls, & Support
Ensure tax compliance across U.S. and global jurisdictions leveraging Vertex validations.
Provide ongoing support for month-end, year-end tax processes, and audit requirements.
Partner with Tax, Procurement, and Finance teams to maintain tax accuracy and policy alignment.
Required Qualifications
5 10+ years of experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials or Procurement.
Strong hands-on experience with Vertex Accelerator for Oracle and Vertex O Series / Vertex Cloud integrations.
Proven functional knowledge of S2P and AP processes, data flows, and configurations.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and integration debugging skills.
Experience in implementing or supporting tax solutions in large-scale ERP environments.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with multi-country tax setups (US, Canada, EU, LATAM preferred).
Knowledge of procurement contract taxability, item category tax rules, and supplier tax setup.
Understanding of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or related middleware.
Prior participation in full life-cycle Oracle Fusion implementation projects.
Soft Skills
Strong stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration.
Ability to document complex processes clearly.
Proactive problem-solving with attention to detail.
Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
