Job Summary This role is the minimum for nurses at UMMC with over 12 months experience. It requires competence in the skills and knowledge needed for operating room practice and active participation in unit governance.
Responsibilities
Be competent in required skills/knowledge.
Participate in unit governance.
Practice and adhere to the UMMC Professional Nurse Job Charter guidelines.
Independently provide and coordinate care within a clinical specialty.
Serve as an effective member of the multidisciplinary patient care team.
Demonstrate and model the full range of nursing professional practice in patient care and in developing strategies to improve outcomes, satisfaction, and cost effectiveness.
Be accountable to patients and families for processes and outcomes during an episode of care.
Be accountable to peers for advancing group practice on the unit.
Be accountable to the nurse manager for overall work performance.
Qualifications
License as a Registered Nurse in Maryland or eligible via Compact state agreements.
Competent evaluation with successful passing of probation and current on all mandatory classes/training.
Maintenance of 10 contact hours of education per year.
Membership in a professional organization.
Recent applicable clinical experience in a comparable setting.
Compensation
Pay Range: $38.51 – $51.81
Other Compensation (if applicable): shift differentials
