Program Overview
Telecare San Diego's behavioral health program is a 24/7 Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) serving individuals of all ages experiencing mental health crisis.
MCRT is creating an opportunity for Clinicians, Case Manager Master's, and Certified Peer Supports to intervene in a unique way that has never been done before in our system of care.
This program collaborates and accepts referrals from the San Diego Access and Crisis Line (ACL) and law enforcement.
San Diego's MCRT will offer crisis triage and management, risk assessment, in-person intervention, and case management.
Each team will respond to calls from the mobile crisis van to provide services directly in the field in Central, East, South, North Central and North Inland regions.

Qualifications (Must Have)
A Master's degree in social sciences or related field
Current associate license with CA BBS: ASW, AMFT, APCC
Two years of experience providing crisis management and mental health services
Driver's license and vehicle insurance that is current and valid with your name listed as the driver
Your own personal vehicle for work, community meetings, and on‑site crisis transport
Position requires transporting members in program van (acceptable driving record)
Preferred Experience
Two years of direct clinical service in an outpatient clinic or community mental health service
Experience providing intensive case management and/or intensive community supports using psychiatric rehabilitation concepts
Role Responsibilities
Dispatched and respond to emergency/crisis events across San Diego County
Provide onsite therapeutic interventions to persons and families in crisis
Collaborate with other first responders to provide onsite crisis support, including transporting members to appropriate levels of care
Act as a leader for the dispatched mobile team, providing clinical guidance and instruction to team members
Complete concise assessments to paint a clinical picture of members’ needs and provide treatment recommendations
Make appropriate referrals for placement, case management, and aftercare services as assigned
Develop and maintain awareness of community resources
Employment Status
Part‑time (3 or 2 days per week)
Short‑hour (1 day per week)
Shifts Available
PM: 2:30 pm – 1:00 am
NOC: 9:00 pm – 7:30 am
Salary Details Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
