This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office in Raleigh, NC.
This position is responsible for designing, building and maintaining data connections between Workday (for HR/Finance) and other systems using tools like
Workday Studio, EIB, and Web Services , focusing on seamless data flow, automation, and troubleshooting using technologies such as
XSLT, SOAP, REST, and APIs , while collaborating with business stakeholders to meet data and process requirements.
Analyze existing and proposed data processing systems or procedures to improve processing capabilities. Assist the installation of programs and procedures developed in coordination with end user groups. Enhance data processing systems and procedures through system analysis, coding, testing, and other activities that facilitate technical business objectives. Occasionally guide less experienced analysts in the work group.
Responsibilities
Design & Development: Create technical specifications and build integrations (inbound/outbound) for various functional areas (HCM, Payroll).
Tool Proficiency: Utilize Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, Custom Reports, and Web Services (WWS).
Technical Skills: Utilize knowledge to develop or install appropriate computer software. Serve as a resource on data processing systems and procedures.
Collaboration: Work with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet needs.
Testing & Deployment: Conduct unit testing and support Systems Integration testing (SIT), manage deployment, and support production issues.
Maintenance: Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and manage data integrity.
Business Support: Provide technical support by performing coding, ensuring processes run smoothly, and continuously improving processing capabilities. Work closely with business units and operation teams to support their business objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in application software programming.
OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in application software programming.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with programming languages such as XSLT, XPath, SOAP, REST, JSON, and API knowledge for data transformation and exchange.
Experience with Workday Studio, EIB, and Web Services.
Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar code repository system.
Experience with ServiceNow or other IT service ticketing systems.
Knowledge of System Life Cycle Development methodology (e.g., Waterfall and Agile).
On-call support: Provides 24/7 on-call support via rotation.
