Dashboard Developer – Automation & Observability

Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Dashboard Developer with strong DevOps and automation expertise to design and deliver advanced Grafana‑based observability solutions. This role will serve as a subject matter expert (SME), responsible for building actionable dashboards, implementing automation, and guiding best practices across monitoring, CI/CD, and cloud‑native environments. The ideal candidate combines deep technical skills with the ability to partner with stakeholders to translate system and business needs into effective observability solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality Grafana dashboards providing insights into infrastructure, application performance, and business KPIs
Integrate Grafana (including Grafana Cloud) with data sources such as Prometheus, Loki, AWS, Snowflake, ServiceNow, PagerDuty, and REST APIs
Implement dashboards and alerts for SLA breaches, latency issues, and transaction anomalies
Monitor telemetry from platforms including Linux, Windows, application servers, identity platforms, and relational databases
Optimize dashboard performance, usability, and adoption across engineering and operations teams
Implement and manage OpenTelemetry instrumentation to collect metrics, logs, and distributed traces
Develop and maintain OpenTelemetry collectors and exporters across environments
Collaborate with development and operations teams to align observability solutions with business needs
DevOps & Automation
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Nexus
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible
Automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring of cloud‑native and on‑premises environments
Improve system reliability, scalability, and security through automation
Reduce manual processes by streamlining workflows across teams
Subject Matter Expert Responsibilities
Act as a technical advisor on observability and automation best practices
Lead initiatives to improve system performance, reliability, and developer productivity
Create documentation and deliver knowledge‑sharing sessions for internal teams
Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and approaches
Promote and guide adoption of OpenTelemetry standards across engineering teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure automation
3+ years of hands‑on experience with Grafana dashboard development
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Dynatrace, Splunk, or similar)
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
Experience implementing OpenTelemetry instrumentation and data pipelines
Understanding of security and compliance in automated environments
