Job Description Inova Cornwall Campus - Freestanding Emergency Department is seeking an experienced ED Nurse. Full time, days; 3-12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) with rotating weekends. This role is eligible for sign on bonus and relocation assistance.

35-50 patients a day, with approximately 20% pediatric patients
3-4:1 patient to nurse ratio
Ventilator and ABG trained nursing staff

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities
Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes
Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, for Critical Care units, 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship.
Education:
BSN or AD. If RN has an AD, within 2 years from date of hire, they must meet with their nurse leader and conduct the following: 1.) Identify which accredited school they plan to attend 2.) Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date 3.) Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses 4.) Complete BSN within 5 years of start date
License:
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license
Certification:
BLS from the American Heart Association; For Critical Care units, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support within 6 months of hire; For Pediatric units, Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Experience : Two(2) plus years Emergency Department (ED) as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Other : Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others. Proficient computer skills required
