The Critical Care Units at Bridgeport Hospital are committed to providing quality medical care and treatment that is coordinated and centered on the patient’s specific needs. Bridgeport Hospital is proud to be a Level II Trauma Center, certified Stroke Center and the only Burn Care Center serving the State of Connecticut. Our Critical Care Units include: Medical/Cardiac ICU, Surgical/Cardiothoracic ICU, Burn ICU, and Progressive Care Unit.

Responsibilities
This is a paid training orientation program. Full‑time 36‑hour position (with a high probability of 7p‑7a or rotating D/N position) after successful completion of orientation.
Qualifications
License:
Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut. BCLS. ACLS must be obtained within 18 months of employment and is offered through our system.
Experience:
Minimum of one year of hospital RN experience preferred.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred. Those with a Diploma or Associate's Degree need to show evidence that they are actively enrolled in a BSN or MSN program.
Special Skills:
Good interpersonal skills. Successful completion of orientation.
Physical Demand:
Requires prolonged standing; walking; use of sight, hearing, and touch; moving/lifting patients of varying weights.
