Company Boeing's Safety, Security, & Airworthiness (SSA) organization is seeking a

Senior Systems Engineer – Compliance/Certification

to join the Regulatory Administration System Oversight Team within Regulatory Administration and Airworthiness in Everett, WA.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead the identification, analysis, and assessment of regulatory and contractual compliance of aerospace systems, products and services.

Lead collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to define, validate, and integrate airworthiness and regulatory compliance requirements; incorporate into designs, operations, and procedures.

Review complex regulatory and customer requirements and evaluate impact to company products and services.

Lead analysis of regulatory and certification technical data for completeness and alignment to applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.

Lead development of a compliance statement for the airworthiness of aerospace systems and products.

Research, investigate and monitor compliance processes or reported in‑service fleet issues for achieving regulatory compliance and recommend and lead process improvements or corrective actions.

Engage with regulators on complex programs or initiatives to shape certification strategies, approaches, activities, and artifacts.

Partner with regulatory authorities to complete validation of airworthiness to applicable requirements as authorized.

Provide advanced technical support, training, tools and resources to the delegated approval organization.

Develop, review, and maintain complex compliance reports and documents in accordance with applicable requirements and regulations.

Lead establishing and promoting global regulatory advocacy strategies, trainings, tools, and methods.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA.

Basic Qualifications

9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

8+ years of experience working across the certification value stream.

Experience working in International Type Validation and/or Operational Certification.

4+ years of experience with certification processes to comply with 14 CFR 21.93, 21.95 and 21.97.

Systems thinker capable of making engineering proposals based on data analysis and forecasting wide‑reaching and longer‑term impacts.

Experience developing presentations and presenting to multiple levels of an organization.

Experience investigating and finding solutions to complex technical or regulatory issues.

Strong technical writing abilities.

Experience extracting and compiling data from multiple sources.

3+ years of experience with analytics tools including Tableau, SQL, R, and Python.

Preferred Qualifications

8+ years of experience identifying key stakeholder project‑specific requirements and scope, then building and managing project plans.

8+ years of experience in business intelligence/data analytics tools (Microsoft Power BI, dashboards, SQL, Tableau, etc.).

Experience with systems engineering and integration of complex systems.

Experience with Risk Management.

Experience with audit activities.

Experience with Functional Decomposition.

Firsthand experience with airplane requirements.

Pay Range: $129,700 – $174,800

Relocation This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
