Job Details Key Responsibilities
Lead month-end close general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, CAM reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial variance analysis, and forensic accounting project management.
Validate lease setups, interpret lease agreements, and maintain tenant billing accuracy (NNN/Base Year CAMs).
Audit & Compliance
Lead CAM audits and periodic due diligence reviews.
Provide support during internal and external audits.
Enforce and streamline accounting policies and controls.
Leadership & Team Development
Mentor and supervise junior accountants or finance assistants.
System Administration & Reporting
Act as a lead user for Yardi, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat in accounting functions.
Generate consistent, accurate financial reports for stakeholders.
Guide new property setups in accounting systems, ensuring data integrity and structure.
Client & Stakeholder Relations
Provide responsive, professional communication to internal and external partners.
Ensure clarity and accuracy in financial explanations to clients and management.
Collaborate across teams (property management, advisory, finance).
Qualifications Experience
Minimum 5 years in commercial or retail property management accounting, with in-depth CAM reconciliation expertise.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a finance setting, not required but preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficient in Yardi or MRI property accounting software.
Advanced Excel ability and strong aptitude with accounting/reporting tools.
Education & Credentials
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
CPA or equivalent credential is a plus, not required.
