$85,000.00/yr – $120,000.00/yr
Tax Senior Associate - Public Accounting
We're currently working with a respected mid‑sized CPA firm that's expanding its team and looking to add a Tax Senior Associate. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional eager to grow their career within a supportive, learning‑focused environment.
Essential Functions
Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
Conduct research and provide tax planning strategies for clients across diverse industries.
Assist Managers and Partners in complex tax projects and client communications.
Mentor and train junior staff, providing feedback and technical guidance.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through timely communication and quality service.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required (Master's in Taxation preferred).
CPA or CPA eligibility strongly preferred.
3-5 years of recent public accounting experience with a focus on tax compliance and planning.
Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Experience with major tax preparation software (e.g., UltraTax, CCH Axcess, ProSystem, etc.).
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary: $85,000 – $120,000+, depending on experience.
Performance‑based bonuses and clear advancement path to Manager level.
