Technical Architect
The Technical Architect will develop, implement, and support network services and solutions for consulting clients while mentoring and sharing skills with others. This position will build a customer‑focused relationship with client to identify business challenges and develop specifications and requirements to arrive at the best solution. Roles and Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Play an active role by collaborating with Practice Leads to create and maintain documents and procedures. Execute, with Project Managers and Practice Leads, large projects on time and on budget. Provide active leadership and articulate to the Project Management Team what is needed for success and lead other Engineers to ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely. Be the Lead Engineer on projects that have multiple different technologies. In collaboration with the Project Management Team Members, provide daily updates on all projects and be proactive with communication on timelines, hours, resources, concerns, etc. Proactively execute collaboration between different business units to provide a world‑class experience for the customer. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and take a leadership role in Team and customer meetings. Contribute to product selection and research, configuration standards and best practices and educate sales teams on these products and services so they can sell them. Work in a team atmosphere between regional and virtual practices, while at all times maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor. Maintain current vendor/industry specific certifications and stay current on new products and solutions. Continue to grow personally along the guidelines of the Engineering skills matrix, improving your skill set around project experience, leadership, certifications and technical expertise. Minimum of 1,450 hours billed per fiscal year prorated based on start date. These charge‑hour requirements will be balanced against professional development and on‑the‑job training. Requirements

5+ years in a technical related field. Preferred Experience
6–8 years in a technical related field. 4+ years of experience working as a consultant. Required Skills, Education and/or Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certifications. At least two or more professional‑level certifications. CCNP, CCP‑V, VCAP‑DCV, MCA. Experience designing and architecting network‑based solutions. Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products. IOS, IOS‑XR, NX‑OS experience/best practices. Routing protocols – OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2 / L3 architecture and design, multicast, QoS. Preferred Skills, Education and/or Certifications
CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, ACMP, ACCP, ACCX, ACEAP, MCE or equivalent level certifications. Installing and supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products. IOS, IOS‑XR, NX‑OS experience/best practices. Cisco Nexus technologies such as VDC, vPC, VXLAN, etc. Routing protocols – OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2 / L3 architecture and design, multicast, QoS. Cisco-based ISR‑based VPN solutions such as FLEX‑VPN, GET‑VPN, or DMVPN. Data Center / Core design, configuration, and implementation utilizing Cisco Nexus Architecture (9K, 7K, 6K, 5K, 3K, 2K, 1000V). Software‑defined networking (SDA, SD‑WAN). Cisco/Meraki/Aruba wireless. Controller or autonomous-based. Design using Ekahau or similar product. High density / manufacturing / office / education. Familiarity or experience with Meraki (Wireless, Security Products, Switches, SDWAN). Citrix NetScaler ADC/SDWAN deployment a plus. Network security appliances including Cisco ASA/FTD, Palo Alto firewalls and related technology.
