About the Role The Senior IT Network Administrator plays a key role in the design, implementation, and day‑to‑day operations of the organization’s network infrastructure, including private cloud, WAN, LAN, and WLAN environments. The role primarily supports secure, scalable, and high‑performing cloud and wireless networks across multiple locations.
Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks to ensure performance, availability, and security
Utilize tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, and NewRelic for proactive monitoring and performance reporting
Participate in on‑call rotations and provide Tier 3 support for network‑related incidents
Design, deploy, and optimize WLANs using modern protocols (WPA3, 802.1X)
Standardize network configurations and maintain detailed documentation and templates
Plan and execute network build‑outs for new office locations in coordination with internal teams and vendors
Order, manage, and document network circuits from telecom providers, ensuring timely delivery and accurate tracking
Design, deploy, and manage cloud network infrastructure in Microsoft Azure (VNets, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, firewalls)
Ensure secure and scalable hybrid connectivity between on‑prem and cloud environments
Configure Azure Load Balancers, Application Gateways, and DNS for optimal performance and availability
Enforce cloud network security standards and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations
Implement and manage network access control (NAC) and adhere to regulatory standards such as HIPAA and HITECH
Develop and maintain security best practices across all network environments
Automate network tasks and configurations using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools
Manage network operations through ITSM tools like ServiceNow, following ITIL practices for incident, change, and problem management
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external partners to align network initiatives with business needs
Provide mentorship to junior administrators and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance network efficiency and security
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, or related field and 8+ years in IT Support or IT Operations, with 3‑5 years in a Network Administrator or equivalent role
Proven experience managing enterprise network infrastructure across multi‑location environments
Hands‑on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points (Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
Proficient in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs) and wireless standards (WPA3, 802.1X)
Familiarity with SD‑WAN technologies (Cato, Zscaler, Aryaka, Fortinet, Cisco)
Strong Azure networking knowledge (Virtual WAN, NSGs, hybrid connectivity)
Working knowledge of hybrid cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Skilled in network automation and scripting (Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell)
Understanding of Zero Trust principles and modern security architectures
Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, NewRelic, Wireshark)
Familiarity with IT operational environments and managing alerts, tickets, and escalations across platforms
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with a focus on uptime and continuity
Excellent documentation and communication skills for technical and non‑technical audiences
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, CCNA, CCNP, Network+, JNCIA, or equivalent
