In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. This state‑of‑the‑art engineering, manufacturing and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the NNSA. Summary The App Development Analyst I is responsible for application analysis, design, development, integration, enhancement, maintenance, and technical/software support.

Duties and Responsibilities

Works directly with business customers and technical team on assigned requests.

Performs functional tests and demonstrates understanding of how functionality supports business processes.

Writes clean, efficient, and well‑documented code for assigned features which may include Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) configurations.

Collaborates with technical team to improve product’s functionality.

Participates in code reviews, quality assurance activities, and practice fundamental Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes.

Stays up to date with application releases, adjacent relevant technology, and industry best practices.

Contributes to knowledge sharing and documentation.

Applies application patches and/or collaborates with other teams to ensure application stack is patched against known vulnerabilities.

You Must Have

Bachelor's degree, certification, or 2 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's or certification.

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on‑site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.

Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.

United States citizenship.

Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).

We Value

Functional proficiencies in SQL, Python, HTML, JAVA.

Industry knowledge of manufacturing, government, and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

Demonstrated initiative to maintain technical currency through outside studies and training.

Windchill experience is highly preferred (management, architecture, integrations, etc.).

Core competencies in MuleSoft API Development, PowerShell scripting, ThingWorx, Windows Server Administration, SQL, Python, HTML, JAVA, GitLab.
