Job Summary
Maintenance Reliability Engineer will improve equipment reliability and optimize maintenance strategies in our food processing plant. This role focuses on predictive and preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement to ensure safety, compliance, and maximum uptime.
Key Responsibilities
Reliability Analysis & Improvement
Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and develop corrective actions.
Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and reliability issues.
Implement reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM) strategies.
Maintenance Strategy Development
Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
Utilize tools such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis for predictive maintenance.
Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, HACCP).
Continuous Improvement
Lead projects to improve equipment uptime and reduce maintenance costs.
Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to enhance process reliability.
Support capital projects with reliability input during design and commissioning.
Data & Reporting
Maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) accuracy.
Generate reliability reports and KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, OEE).
Provide recommendations based on data‑driven insights.
Training & Support
Train maintenance staff on reliability best practices and predictive technologies.
Serve as a technical resource for troubleshooting complex equipment issues.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Experience
3+ years in maintenance reliability engineering, preferably in food or beverage manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of reliability tools (RCM, FMEA, RCA).
Experience with CMMS and predictive maintenance technologies.
Skills
Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
