Senior Transmission Engineer

Senior Transmission Operations Engineer JCW Group is partnering with a leading utility to hire Transmission Operations Engineers supporting Transmission Operations and Balancing Authority functions. You’ll perform engineering studies, power flow and contingency analysis, and implement security‑constrained economic dispatch and flowgate methodology to ensure reliable transmission operations.

Responsibilities

Perform power flow and contingency analyses to support transmission operations

Implement security‑constrained economic dispatch and flowgate methodology

Execute engineering design, modifications, and technical analysis

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers (Senior level)

Support on‑call responsibilities as required

Qualifications

B.S. in Engineering or related discipline (ABET‑accredited)

Engineer II: 2+ years’ experience | Engineer III: 5+ years | Senior: 8+ years

Experience with transmission operations, reliability studies, and NERC standards

Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment
