Reliability Lead Engineer 4
Location:
Lafayette, IN (onsite)
Pay range:
$50/hr. to $55/hr. on W2 (all inclusive)
Position Summary Lead reliability improvements for CNC machining centers to enhance equipment availability, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and process capability. Utilize structured reliability methods such as TPM, RCCA, PFMEA, and predictive maintenance to eliminate chronic losses and stabilize throughput. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to embed a reliability-focused culture and standard work.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with safety and reliability standards.
Improve machine availability and OEE through loss analysis and corrective actions.
Analyze maintenance data (Llumin CMMS+) to identify trends, diagnose issues, and develop actionable recommendations.
Manage critical spares and obsolescence strategy.
Lead root cause investigations and implement permanent fixes.
Deploy TPM and operator care on constraint machining centers.
Influence reliability in new equipment design and commissioning.
Implement predictive maintenance initiatives (vibration, lubrication, thermal monitoring).
Coach operators and technicians on defect tagging and basic care.

Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations and maintenance reliability.
Technical Skills (Required)
CNC machining centers maintenance.
Statistical & reliability data analytics, root cause analysis.
Llumin CMMS+, Microsoft O365, Power BI.
Project Management, NCI experience.
Hands-on CNC experience (setup, operation, programming).
Soft Skills
Clear and fluent English (oral and written).
