Title: Dragline Operator
Location: Palm Beach County
Reports to: Operations Supervisor
Department: Operations
Essential Duties
Safely operates a dragline in all modes of digging, spoiling and propelling.
Assists supervisor with maintaining consistent dig sequence and windrow placement.
Anticipates walking pad requirements and requests grading assistance to eliminate down time on the machine.
Conducts pre‑shift inspections, rope inspections and monitors bucket teeth to anticipate necessary replacement.
Assists other crew members to maintain positive, engaged and safe work environment.
Performs job duties in accordance with MSHA, OSHA & U.S. Army Corps of Engineers law and regulations, established company safety procedures and state and federal environmental regulations.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Communicates effectively with ground crew, supervisors, site personnel and representatives.
Other Duties
Supports and assists the maintenance team with all repair and component replacements.
May be required to drive a company vehicle and must maintain a valid driver’s record (MVR) in good standing.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Prior demonstrated ability operating draglines or other heavy equipment in a construction or mining environment.
Ability to work with other crew members and work as a team player is a must.
Education, Training and Experience
Prior on‑job experience as a dragline operator is required.
Minimum Requirements
Prior dragline operating experience.
Clean MVR.
Ability to work rotating shifts.
OSHA‑compliant Man‑Lift Training (current or ability to obtain upon hire).
OSHA‑compliant Telehandler Training (current or ability to obtain upon hire).
Physical Demands Must work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. Works in dusty conditions, all weather extremes, and heights.
