About The Role The Pharmacy Shipping Clerk or Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments on the 3:30 pm – 12:00 am EST shift. Their duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations, and documenting damages to inventory.

Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Obtain and process orders including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages and letters within the company

Maintain the company stockroom by organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis

Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments

Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers

Handle issues arising in shipping and inventory handling

Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems

Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and solve them

Place merchandise in a storage system by packaging, lifting items as necessary and operating lifting equipment and pallet jacks for large goods

Perform duties and responsibilities according to the philosophy and standards of SelectRx, conveying courtesy, respect, enthusiasm and positive attitudes in work situations with clients, peers and visitors

Maintain client and associate confidentiality

Understand all applicable policies and procedures of the department necessary to perform essential job functions as well as the employee handbook

Perform other job‑related tasks as directed by the VP of Operation as requested

Education And Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

1–2 years of relevant experience

Knowledgeable in computer applications

Basic mathematics and computer skills

Experience in retail or manufacturing preferred

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of standing

Position requires the ability to bend, pull or lift for the duration of the shift

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
