Job Description And Duties Under the general direction of a Caltrans Bridge Maintenance Supervisor, CT Equipment Operator II engages in the removal of stalled, damaged, and/or abandoned vehicles, motorcycles, light trucks, medium to heavy trucks, various types of trailers, and other wheeled vehicles commonly found on State Highways and bridges. The incumbent cleans and maintains drainage systems, piers, and various bridge components, maintains or makes minor adjustments and/or emergency repairs to maintain equipment. Must be willing to work non‑traditional work schedules to accommodate special events, emergencies or projects that affect the Region or Caltrans.

Special Requirements

The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.

The position(s) require(s) a Drug Screening be passed prior to being hired.

The position(s) require(s) a valid unrestricted Class A commercial driver’s license, with Tank Vehicle (N) endorsement.

Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.
