This position is responsible for managing and assembling tooling projects.
Job Description
Set-up and operate machine tools to manufacture components
Assemble components into tooling
Train/Mentor Apprentices
Demonstrates safe work habits
Maintain a clean and organize work area using 5S principles
Responsible for managing assigned tooling projects to meet quality and delivery expectations of the customer
Responsible for assembling tooling, ensuring machined components are to specifications and processes used will meet scheduling completion date
Responsible for actively participating in Pre-Build meetings to determine most efficient manufacturing processes
Responsible for machining components using standard processes to required tolerances and completion dates
Requirements
Minimum level of education/training required: This position requires the successful completion of 4 years of high school, or equivalency, as well as successful completion of a state indentured tool and die apprenticeship program, or six or more years served as a nonindentured tool and die maker working on stamping dies.
Minimum experience required: This position requires 3 to 5 years of progressive tooling preferably in a stamping environment.
Advanced math skills, basic computer skills, ability to read technical drawings and ability to communicate are required.
License or certificate required: Journeyman Card in Tool and Die.
