Utility Tech - Full Time - Evenings
Join Nebraska Methodist Health System as a Utility Technician. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing dishes, pots/pans, floors, and equipment in the hospital kitchen.
Job Summary Location: Methodist Hospital, 8303 Dodge St., Omaha, NE
Work Schedule: Tue‑Sat 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm
Responsibilities
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or hand washing ensuring all equipment is clean and sanitary.
Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas following departmental policies to ensure availability.
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils by organizing and cleaning the dish and pot area for a safe, clean, and sanitary environment.
Follow proper food handling procedures and comply with quality performance standards.
Operate food service equipment following manufacturer and department procedures to ensure proper operation and maintenance.
Qualifications Education
High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred.
Experience
At least 6 months previous dishwasher experience preferred.
License/Certifications
N/A
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Knowledge of dishwashing techniques preferred.
Basic math skills required.
Strong verbal communication skills for positive interaction with staff and customers required.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend various written reports and documents required.
