Job Summary
Reed Minerals, a leading provider of high‑performance abrasives and roofing granules, seeks a Production Worker to support our fast‑paced manufacturing operations. The role involves bagging, palletizing, and truck loading, with an emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform general day‑to‑day production activities, including bagging, palletizing, and truck loading.
Operate bagging equipment to bag and palletize material.
Load trucks with bagged material, ensuring accurate placement of pallets and compliance with shipment requirements.
Inspect all trucks before loading, internally and externally, in compliance with site safety practices.
Maintain clean and organized loading areas, including weekly trash can emptying and general plant cleanup.
Execute pre‑start‑up checks of equipment and complete required forms or inspections for bagging operations.
Complete quality testing as required and log analysis on pick slips.
Notify plant operators and management of material shortages, loading time changes, or potential mechanical issues.
Assist maintenance in repairing mechanical equipment when necessary.
Maintain all related paperwork as directed by management on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
Other duties may be assigned to maintain a safe and efficient operation.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to pass the company physical, drug & alcohol screening, and background check.
Lifting capability up to 100 lbs and flexibility to twist, bend, and stand for long durations.
Ability to walk frequently and change positions in varied terrain and weather conditions.
Forklift and front‑end loader certification is a plus.
