Cylinder Maintenance Technician – Arc3 Gases

Job Summary The primary function of the Cylinder Technician is to refurbish and maintain Arc3 Gases’ cylinder fleet. The Cylinder Technician will perform other duties as directed. Some of those duties will include cylinder painting and maintenance, loading and unloading trucks, and occasional administrative functions.
Responsibilities
Assist in loading and unloading trucks as directed.
Assess cylinders and determine necessary actions needed for redeployment.
Perform cylinder maintenance activities (cylinder painting, testing, etc.) as directed.
Complete required paperwork for maintaining/retesting cylinders.
Complete required paperwork to track production.
Work with a variety of hand tools.
Comply with safety regulations and requirements as instructed.
Ensure work area is well maintained and clean to present a company image of “excellence.”
Present a professional image in appearance always.
Attend training as required.
Support fellow members of the Cylinder Services team and perform other related duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills And Experience
Basic reading and writing skills required.
Willingness to learn all work duties required to refurbish cylinders required.
High school diploma is preferred.
Forklift license preferred.
Computer experience is preferred.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Must handle heavy cylinders and materials.
Must work with hazardous materials.
Stand and walk for eight-hour periods.
Roll two cylinders weighing up to 55 lbs at a time continuously.
Grip cylinder handles and caps continuously.
Bend at the waist and knees frequently.
Use feet to push cylinders into interlocking position and to help move cylinders as they are rolled continuously.
Use full body force to tighten ratchet straps frequently.
Able to twist cylinder caps continuously.
Loud noise levels.
Exposed to all weather conditions.
