Responsibilities

Operate all equipment.

Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.

Prepare product.

Receive and process telephone orders.

Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.

Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Communication Skills

Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.

Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.

Essential Functions / Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).

Must be able to make correct monetary change.

Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.

Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.

Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Work Conditions

Exposure to varying weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks.

In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F+ in some work areas.

Sudden temperature changes in work area and while outside.

Fumes from food odors.

Exposure to cornmeal dust.

Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.

Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher.

Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Physical Requirements

Standing:

Most tasks are performed from a standing position.

Walking:

Short distances for short durations on ceramic tile or linoleum; height of work surfaces between 36″ and 48″.

Sitting:

Completing paperwork at a desk or table.

Lifting:

Bulk deliveries may weigh up to 50 lb; lifting from floor to shelves up to 72 in. high.

Carrying:

Small cans (≈3 lb) and occasionally heavier items such as pizza sauce (30 lb).

Pushing/Pulling:

Trays on dollies (approx. 24–30 in. wide) requiring up to 7.5 lb force.

Climbing:

Infrequent stairs or ladder use.

Stooping/Bending:

Forward bending at station, 30‑45 s at a time.

Crouching/Squatting:

Occasional use when stocking shelves or cleaning low areas.

Reaching:

Continuous, up/down/forward, up to 72 in. high.

Hand Tasks:

Continuous use of hands, forearms, wrists; manipulating pizza dough and peel.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Strong verbal, written, and customer‑service skills.

Ability to multiply/divide quickly and accurately.

Physical ability to meet the requirements described above.
