Customer Service Associate

Walgreens Base pay range: $15.00/hr - $17.50/hr Responsibilities
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Register sales on assigned cash register, providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience. Share customer service best practices with all team members. Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service. Recommend items for sale, trade‑ups, and companion items. Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash, distribute change, process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed. Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, maintain records, check in and price merchandise as required or directed. Implement company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss. Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages, tobacco). Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, surcharge structures, and sale merchandise. Complete resets and revisions as directed. Assist with separation of food items and product placement per policies, using first‑in‑first‑out for consumables. Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment. Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster printing, machine suggestions, and promotional photo product sales. Assume web pick‑up responsibilities (monitor orders, pick items, deliver orders at store). Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure clean, neat store condition. Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers. Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned. Training & Personal Development
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by manager or assigned by corporate. Basic Qualifications
Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico) Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours. Preferred Qualifications
Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment. Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens. Prefer fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
