About the Role As an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Technician 1, you maintain and repair automated material handling equipment and facility equipment. You use preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and support the supply chain facility.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including conveyor systems, sortation, scales, and printer applicators.
Maintain mechanical components such as belts, chains, cables, bearings, and rollers.
Troubleshoot and repair motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, and related electronic circuits.
Clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment; use job plans, procedures, and manuals.
Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment such as powered industrial trucks, HVAC, air compressors, dryers, and balers.
Read and understand basic electrical and electronic schematics.
Use handheld devices and asset management system mobile apps to create and close work orders.
Follow safety procedures and use PPE; lock out/tag out, arc flash, etc.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Basic PC competency and mobile app usage on handheld devices.
Basic wiring diagram reading and electrical measuring.
Experience with work order management, preventive/predictive maintenance, and industrial tools.
Mechanical or electrical apprenticeship experience (desired).
Experience with automated conveyor systems, MHE safety standards, and PLC/HMI (desired).
Physical Demands
Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching below the waist and above the head.
Lift and move up to 49 pounds.
Stand/walk for up to 10‑12 hours.
Climb ladders and work at heights.
Work in small spaces, dust, fumes, vibration, and hot/cold temperatures.
