Job Description You are responsible for everything that happens during your shift. This includes all cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations. You must set the example, follow all policy and procedures 100% of the time, and expect the same from your crew. Additional duties include staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, working to a schedule, maintaining a perfect image, great customer service, attendance and punctuality, transportation to/from work, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Operate all equipment.

Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler.

Prepare product.

Receive and process telephone orders.

Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.

Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Orientation and training provided on the job.

Communicate written and verbal instructions correctly; process orders over the phone and in person.

Perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) accurately and quickly; use calculator if needed.

Make correct monetary change.

Use motor coordination between eyes and hands to rapidly and accurately perform precise movements with speed.

Enter orders with a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Work Conditions Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks; in‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F or higher in some work areas; sudden changes in temperature; fumes from food odors; exposure to cornmeal dust; cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler; hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F; sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Talking and hearing on telephone.

Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.

Depth perception.

Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.

Temperaments The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.

Physical Requirements Standing: most tasks performed from a standing position; walking for short distances and durations; surfaces include ceramic tile, bricks, interlaced linoleum; work surface height 36‑48 inches.

Paperwork: completed in an office at a desk or table.

Lifting: bulk deliveries up to 50 lbs; cases stacked up to 72 high.

Carrying: large cans (~3 lb 7 oz); occasionally pizza sauce 30 lb; trays of dough 12 lb per tray.

Pushing: trays on dollies require up to 7.5 lbs of force; trays may also be pulled.

Climbing: navigate stairs or ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls and perform maintenance.

Additional Job Details Stooping/Bending: forward bending at waist necessary at pizza assembly station; toe room present; duration ~30‑45 seconds continuously.

Crouching/Squatting: performed occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.

Reaching: frequently up, down and forward; reaching above 72 inches occasionally; reaching down to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes; forward to retrieve topping ingredients, clean work surfaces or answer phones.

Hand Tasks: eye‑hand coordination essential; use of hands continuous; shaping pizza dough requires forceful use of forearms and wrists.

Manipulate pizza peel when removing pizza from oven; use rolling cutter; frequent pinching in assembly of cardboard pizza boxes; grasp cans, phone, pizza cutter, pizza peel, pizza boxes.

Additional Information May use pencils/pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter and pizza peel.

Driving Specific Job Duties

Deliver product by car to customer door.

Deliver flyers and door hangers.

Requires

Valid driver's license with safe driving record meeting company standards.

Access to an insured vehicle usable for delivery.

Essential Skills

Navigational skills to read map, locate addresses within delivery area.

Navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings, private homes while carrying product.

Physical Demands – Delivery

Carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing during delivery.

Deliver pizzas within designated delivery area; multiple deliveries per shift.

Travel between store and vehicle and to customers.

Navigate five or more flights of stairs during delivery.

Work Conditions – Delivery Exposure to varying weather conditions when delivering, driving, couponing; far vision and night vision for driving.
