Machine Maintenance
General Function: Maintains production and building operating systems. Recommends and secures additional maintenance or repair from outside sources when required. Responsibilities
Plans procedures, installs and repairs production machinery, including uncoiler, leveler, fine blanking, tumbling, V-hole, and Automated Storage Rack System (ASRS). Repairs and maintains building systems, including power and light circuits, plumbing, heating and air conditioning system, electrical and electronic controls; carpentry and related operations involved in repairing building and grounds. Diagnoses problems and extent of repair necessary and reports labor time and parts used. Uses necessary machine tools to maintain production operation. Orders maintenance supplies. Maintains equipment and supplies for all plant systems. Provides recommendations for continuous improvement. Working Conditions
Works inside plant where there is a great deal of noise and outside the building in whatever weather conditions exist at that time. The work may be dusty, dirty and greasy. Physical Effort
Works on a hard surface; stands, stoops, bends and lifts heavy objects (approximately 75 lbs.). May work on top of the building or in the ceiling where use of a ladder or mechanical lift is required. Safety Equipment
Wears safety shoes, glasses, gloves and ear plugs where required. Qualification Requirements
High School diploma or GED; certification in industrial electronics or maintenance. Two (2) years industrial maintenance experience. Additional Preferred Qualifications
Four (4) years or more industrial maintenance experience in some or all of the following areas: hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, plumbing and welding. Associate degree in industrial, mechanical or electrical field. Seniority level
