Role Overview Customer Service Representatives are the frontline contact for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. You will provide timely and accurate customer service utilizing good communication skills, computer skills, and on-the-job training. You will assist Hoosiers with a broad scope of BMV needs.

This position serves at the DeMotte and Rensselaer, Indiana, BMV Branch Offices. Your schedule with flex on this schedule:

Sunday: Closed

Monday: DeMotte

Tuesday: Rensselaer

Wednesday: DeMotte

Thursday: Rensselaer

Friday: DeMotte

Saturday: Closed

Salary The salary for this position traditionally starts at $15.17 an hour.

A Day In The Life

Oversee the branch’s daily operations.

Conduct meetings with branch staff.

Assist leadership with scheduling for the branch.

Assist with the daily opening and closing of the branch.

Complete weekly reports.

Complete daily records for all balances and deposits.

Aid leadership in the resolution of escalated customer complaints.

Partner with Branch Manager and HR staff to ensure training, development, evaluation, and discipline is completed in accordance with policy.

Monitor BMV inventory and office supplies.

What You'll Need For Success

High school diploma or equivalent.

Customer service experience.

Top-notch communication skills.

A high level of critical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot.

Ability to process cash and card transactions.

Ability to travel up to 20 percent of the time to branch locations, training, or branch-related community activities.

Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
