General Freight Dispatcher – Byron Center, MI Martin Transportation Systems is seeking a qualified General Freight Dispatcher for our Byron Center dispatch operations. The selected candidate will dispatch and manage CDL‑A drivers on round‑trip loads, ensuring revenue and mileage goals for drivers and equipment are met safely. Candidates must possess excellent communication and computer skills (satellite tracking and TMW dispatch software), be multi‑task oriented, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Job Description General Freight Dispatcher Essential Functions

Previous brokerage or general freight experience is a plus.

DAT Load board experience required.

Oversee, coordinate, dispatch, and manage CDL‑A drivers to ensure timely pick‑up and delivery of all truck‑load shipments from vendors to other locations.

Assist with and enforce driver electronic log compliance to HOS regulations and company policy.

Interface with other central dispatch staff, customer service and customers.

Promote driver safety and a safe workplace performance.

Interface and update computer trucking systems.

Grocery transportation knowledge a plus.
