Anticipated Pay Range:
Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $21.62–USD $35.75. Education/Training – Work requires oral and written communication skills normally acquired through a high school education with computer coursework. Associate’s degree is preferred. Experience – Work requires basic knowledge of computer systems and/or building infrastructure and systems. Experience with building management software is a plus. Monitor and dispatch appropriate personnel to Fire Alarms, Building Equipment Alarms, Critical system alarms, and Life Safety alarms across Hospital, Clinic, Research and Ambulatory divisions using defined procedures. Receive and dispatch HICS Codes using overhead announcement system across Hospital and Clinic divisions using defined procedures. Take calls on the Hospital Maintenance line and dispatch appropriate personnel to respond to issues described using work order management system. Work with Zone Mechanics, Core Shops, and Contractors to resolve system issues, including minor programming and manipulation of field device statuses. Maintain daily logs for work being done affecting fire alarms and building equipment across Hospital, Clinic, Research, and Ambulatory division. Maintain daily logs for alarms handled dealing with critical system items. Monitor and respond to device communication issues across BAS, Fire Alarm, Medical Gas, Emergency Power, and other critical infrastructure systems. Assist supervisor and Senior Operator in the training of new personnel. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
