Job Overview: Responsible for receiving telephone orders, stocking ingredients, inventory management, and daily facility maintenance.
Job Duties
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Operate all equipment.
Prepare product.
Essential Functions / Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
Make correct monetary change.
Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions Exposure to varying weather conditions, temperatures ranging from 36 °F in cooler to 90 °F+ in some work areas, fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler, hot surfaces up to 500 °F or higher, and sharp edges or moving mechanical parts.
Physical demands: Standing, walking short distances, lifting up to 50 lb, carrying weight ranges from 3 lb to 30 lb, pushing/pulling dollies, climbing stairs, stooping and bending, crouching/squatting, reaching above and below 72 in, hand–eye coordination for shaping dough and handling utensils.
