Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift Location: Milwaukee, WI Pay Range: $38.00 - $43.81/hour Schedule: 1st Shift | Standard Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Flexible within 1st shift window) Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations at our Milwaukee, WI facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to ensure continuous and efficient production operations.

This position plays a key role in reducing equipment downtime, improving system reliability, and working collaboratively with production, engineering, and external contractors. Ideal for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting expertise, and a commitment to preventative maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, Repair & Install Machine Components (40%)

Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems

Use blueprints, schematics, manuals, and OEM specifications to evaluate and restore equipment

Support both production and building equipment needs

Perform Preventive Maintenance (30%)

Complete scheduled lubrication, inspection, and upkeep of various systems across foundry, machining, plating, polishing, and injection molding equipment

Maintain spare part inventory and update logs accordingly

Collaborate with Contractors & Engineering (20%)

Assist in scheduling and supporting contractors for new systems, repairs, and upgrades

Work with internal engineering teams to help design, install, or improve machinery and eliminate waste

Other Duties as Assigned (10%)

Flexibly support maintenance‑related tasks as needed by leadership

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Coursework toward Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic Technology or 2+ years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience repairing mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office

Strong troubleshooting and critical‑thinking skills
