Building Maintenance Tech (Full-Time/ Weekends/ Ft Lauderdale)

Job Description
Location : Fort Lauderdale, FL (33304)
Pay Range : $20–$22/hr
Schedule : Tuesday to Saturday 8am‑4:30pm (Sun & Mon off)
Job Responsibilities Essential Duties:
As a Maintenance Staff Member, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical systems and equipment are operational and properly maintained and all common areas are maintained in a clean, aesthetically appealing and disinfected condition.
Additional Duties:
Routinely walk floors including roof, checking for problems and lights out and report back to supervisors.
Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
Maintain working relationship with building staff.
Paint all common areas and touch up as required; inspect areas that need paint and advise manager.
Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition.
Properly perform casual labor, such as lifting/moving heavy items as directed by supervisors and following appropriate safety procedures.
Perform minor maintenance replacement and repairs in areas of carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring, and other building repairs through daily scheduled work orders.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Perform maintenance replacement and repair in areas of carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring, and other minor building repairs as long as a permit is not required to conduct the job.
Must be able to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
Supervisory Responsibilities N/A
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
2 years general experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance or handy work.
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
Multiple language fluency is desirable.
