What You’ll Get to Do
The Material Handler 1 is focused on moving glass and/or metal products from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates and reports to the Production Supervisor. This role is perfect for an individual who has attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency), strong work ethic/reliability, and is a problem solver. A vital member of the Production Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader. Job responsibilities include
Transport of materials including glass from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily. Quality inspection, operating equipment, and/or manually maneuvering equipment. Perform different job functions on a rotating basis. Inspect product for any abnormalities and notifying supervisor immediately of any issues. Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within the product specifications. What We Are Looking For
Ability to read, understand, and communicate paperwork and labels. Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure. Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including working weekends as necessary. One year of previous work experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or production facility, preferred.
