The Conduct Coordinator serves as a critical role in promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive higher education campus environment. Working within the Division of Student Affairs, the Conduct Coordinator manages the student conduct process, utilizing a developmental and student-centered approach.

Duties and Tasks
Documentation and Record Keeping
Serve as one of the primary system administrators for the conduct management platform, Maxient.
Ensure accurate, timely, and complete documentation of all incidents, decisions, sanctions, and outcomes.
Maintain records from initiation to resolution, including follow-up and closure of all cases.
Assist in revising and maintaining the Student Code of Conduct and other student-related policies.
Facilitate the Conduct Process
Investigate and adjudicate alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct in an efficient and effective manner.
Conduct meetings with students, review evidence, determine appropriate outcomes, and lead administrative and committee hearings as appropriate in a timely manner.
Oversee sanctions, including issuance, ensuring clear communication, and monitoring timely completion of requirements.
Oversee Staff Involvement in Conduct
Assign conduct cases to respective staff (e.g., Resident Directors, Director of Housing, Dean of Students) through the tiered assignment system.
Monitor and ensure timely follow-up, sanction delivery, and case closure by assigned staff.
Provide training and support to Resident Directors and other involved staff on documentation standards, adjudication procedures, and restorative practices.
Support Educational Outcomes
Support crisis response and intervention efforts, including on-call responsibilities as needed to support student needs within the department.
Create and implement developmental and restorative sanction options (e.g., reflection papers, service learning, skill workshops).
Design and deliver outreach related to student rights, responsibilities, community standards, and conflict resolution.
Educate students on college policies and community expectations in ways that are accessible and affirming for neurodivergent learners.
Contribute to wellness and retention efforts by connecting students to campus resources and services.
Data Analysis and Recommendations
Prepare regular data reports on student conduct trends, behavioral concerns, and resolution outcomes.
Collaborate with senior leadership to implement training, policy development, and risk mitigation based on conduct data and trends.
Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the mission of the Division of Student Affairs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or related field preferred.
Strong understanding of neurodivergent students.
Experience in conducting training.
Experience in student conduct or behavioral intervention strongly preferred.
Experience with Maxient or similar conduct management systems.
Skills:
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, decision‑making, crisis response, and conflict resolution skills.
Knowledge of trauma‑informed care, DBT‑informed support, and restorative justice models.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, faculty, and staff in person, on the phone, and over e‑mail.
Exceptional time and organizational skills with a systematic approach to managing tasks and priorities.
Abilities:
Manage sensitive issues with confidentiality and empathy.
Maintain a professional and patient approach when working with students, parents, and other Beacon College community members.
Collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Availability and willingness to participate in evening and weekend on‑call duties and respond to emergencies.
Remain composed and maintain a clear focus during high‑stress situations.
