Responsibilities
Operate a CAT 980 Loader or equivalent and a CAT D8 (or equivalent) Dozer daily.
Assist in tasks necessary to meet customer expectations, such as maintenance, cleanup, safety observations and inspections.
Perform thorough pre‑ and post‑trip inspections.
Maintain cleanliness of equipment.
Expand personal knowledge of operating equipment.
Report maintenance issues to the maintenance crew.
Ensure critical service requirements are met.
Participate in the safety program, attend all safety meetings, and promote safe behaviors.
Ensure environmental compliance.
Requirements
Active driver's license.
Extensive experience operating large pieces of heavy equipment.
Proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English.
Knowledge of best practices for maintaining and safely operating heavy equipment.
Safety‑conscious with understanding of safe work practices.
Comfortable with heights, including walking on conveyor belt lines and climbing ladders.
Pass a drug screen; possess a current Driver’s License and TWIC card at the time of application.
Physical Requirements
Work outdoors, exposed to the elements.
Handle large tools and equipment up to 60 lbs.
Climb on and off equipment.
Ascend and descend ladders.
Work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
