Staffing Coordinator Opportunity:
Full-Time, Weekdays, Day Shift
As the only free‑standing psychiatric hospital in the Central Kentucky area, we are here to help. Please join our team as we expand our services to meet the needs of our community.
The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110‑bed hospital located in the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for more than 39 years.
The Staffing Coordinator performs clerical duties in Nursing Administration, provides support to Nursing Director and Nursing Managers and is responsible for managing and overseeing schedules for clinical employees.
Job Duties Include
Consistently communicate within the boundaries of confidentiality policies and procedures regarding employee specific information.
Record and route telephone and in‑person messages accurately, completely, and promptly.
Meet with Payroll Accountant to edit Kronos regarding employee time reporting.
Collaborate with Payroll Accountant to ensure that all Kronos forms are adjusted in the Kronos system.
Ensure that all Kronos forms are signed by the Nurse Manager, CNO, and the CFO.
Audit daily Kronos reports for accuracy.
Audit/reconcile the daily census to the daily staffing assignments.
Forward applicable staffing information to house supervisors, nurse managers, and CNO as needed.
Place outgoing staffing calls in a timely manner.
Utilize scheduling software effectively to track employee schedules and ensure adequate unit staffing.
Collaborate with Nurse Managers to ensure draft staffing schedule is posted 4 weeks prior to implementation and final schedule is posted no later than 2 weeks prior to implementation.
Coordinate the submission of time off requests and communicate approval/denial decision to employees.
Maintain scheduled vacation request calendar.
Maintain on‑call schedule for Nurses and MHTs.
Break down attendance information including tardiness and early departures for nurse managers and HR for proper follow‑up.

Qualifications Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience
Two years of related experience preferred.
Computer experience is required.
Certifications/Licensure
Crisis intervention training required and is offered upon hire.
Other Skills
Knowledge in secretarial services preferred.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
