Material Handler - Shipping/Receiving - 1st Shift
Join Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division as a Material Handler for the 1st Shift, responsible for the safe and efficient handling of materials, parts, and products.
Shift Hours:
8:00 AM‑4:30 PM, Monday‑Friday. Overtime may be required at times. Hourly Rate:
$16.00 per hour (subject to market and business considerations).
Responsibilities
Operate forklifts or other power equipment to move and store a variety of materials, parts, or products.
Unload incoming materials from trailers and vehicles, and transport items from staging areas to storage or finished goods areas.
Inspect and count incoming parts, materials, and supplies to detect shortages, damages, or defects, and complete related documentation.
Maintain storage organization, stack and arrange material, and use the KanBan system to order and replenish supplies.
Operate overhead crane or hoist for material movement (crane‑certified associates only).
Verify incoming items against purchase orders, packing lists, and freight bills.
Prepare materials for delivery to Service Centers, ensuring packaging meets quality standards to prevent loss or damage.
Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Eligible to work in the United States without immigration sponsorship (Eaton does not sponsor CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, H‑1B, or other status).
Must reside within a 50‑mile radius of Fayetteville, NC, unless an active‑duty military service member.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in material handling in a manufacturing setting.
Forklift operation experience (standup or sit‑down).
Position Criteria
Effective communication with other departments to ensure timely delivery of parts and compliance with quality specifications.
Flexibility to support other departments as needed to meet customer and company expectations.
Proficiency with AS400, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and Vista.
Ability to use electrical schematics, blueprints, and handheld scanners to track inventory in Shipping & Receiving.
