Talent Acquisition Manager at the SC Department of Public Health | Workforce Specialist | Learning and Development Job Responsibilities This position will oversee harm reduction material dissemination as part of Overdose Data to Action in States (OD2A‑S) funding and related grants. Additional responsibilities include supporting grant management, serving as the liaison for assigned prevention activities, and reporting on the progress and outcomes of those activities. Oversee the distribution of harm reduction materials such as Naloxone and Fentanyl Test Strips to at‑risk or vulnerable populations. Support the grants manager with contract development and execution, annual reviews, workplans, and reporting. Act as the point‑of‑contact between the South Carolina Department of Public Health and partners involved in prevention activities. Work with internal and external partners to expand overdose death prevention efforts, use data to refine existing activities, support new initiatives, and identify and mitigate risks to achieving program objectives. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements State Minimum Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and relevant program experience. Institutions of higher learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Agency Additional Requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license. Periodic travel within and out of state, including overnight travel, may be required. Applicants may upload an unofficial transcript; an official, certified copy will be required prior to hiring.

Preferred Qualifications A master’s degree in health or a related field and at least 1–3 years of experience in public health, including writing and reporting data, monitoring programs, and providing stakeholder support. Knowledge of substance use, opioids, or mental health.
