About The Position - Transfer Operator As a Transfer Operator, you'll be responsible for safely transferring bulk products, including chemicals, between railcars and tanker trucks. This is a hands‑on, physically engaging role ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Most work is performed during a regular daytime schedule, though occasional weekends may be required due to rail and product delivery timing.
Clean‑shaven requirement: This safety‑sensitive position requires employees to remain clean‑shaven when respirator use is needed.
Key Responsibilities - Transfer Operator
Operate transfer equipment (pumps, hoses, valves) to move products safely and efficiently
Set up, secure, and inspect equipment prior to transfer operations
Perform heating, temperature checks, sparging, sampling, and quality checks
Climb ladders up to 20 feet and manage hoses and rigging in all weather conditions
Complete accurate transfer logs, manifests, and inspection documentation
Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE (chemical suits, gloves, respirators, face protection)
