Job Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and lead crews performing installation of water, sewer, storm drainage, and other underground utility systems.
Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and site layouts to guide daily tasks.
Coordinate with the Superintendent, Project Manager, inspectors, and other trades to keep the project moving on schedule.
Ensure all utility work meets local, state, and project-specific codes and requirements.
Set daily tasks, manage manpower, and ensure proper use of equipment and materials.
Maintain accurate daily reports, quantities, and timecards.
Conduct site safety meetings and enforce all safety procedures and guidelines.
Oversee trenching, pipe layout, elevations, and backfill to ensure correct installation.
Inspect completed work and perform quality control checks.
Troubleshoot field issues and adjust plans as needed.
Operate heavy equipment as needed (excavator, loader, etc.)
