DC Logistics Associate – 2nd Shift – Lancaster, TX We are seeking a detail‑oriented logistics associate for our data center operations to support inventory management, shipping & receiving, and facility maintenance.

Shift Mon – Fri, 4:00 pm – 12:30 am (2nd shift)

Key Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming inventory, including racks, trays, networking equipment, and other hardware.

Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper documentation for all items received and shipped; perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.

Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments; prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging for outgoing shipments.

Upload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness; transport inventory by hand using material‑handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) in accordance with all safety procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas and shipping/receiving docks; assist with disposal of packaging materials and obsolete equipment as needed.

Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures; comply with data‑center security measures and access controls.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—data‑center operations, procurement, and technical support—to fulfill inventory and logistics needs; provide support for special projects or initiatives as directed by management.

Assist in the setup and installation of computer server racks according to provided instructions; support senior technicians with cable management and organization within the racks.

Qualifications

Minimum 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent.

At least one year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields.

Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word); ability to perform basic math calculations.

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents.

Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and use of material‑handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Desired Skills and Experience

Additional education or certification in logistics, supply‑chain management, or a related field.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively and safely in a team setting.

Positive, respectful, and professional attitude toward all tasks.

Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed.

Ability to lift and move heavy material and perform physical tasks related to handling server trays and racks.

Use of power equipment to assist in safely moving heavy server racks into position according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
