We are seeking a Product Data Management Specialist (Mid, Experienced or Senior Level) to join our Digital Engineering teams. The role offers the opportunity to support one of two focus areas: Export Compliance & Integration (ensure compliance with export regulations and manage product data related to Boeing Proprietary Information (RBPI)), or BOM Systems and Configuration Services (support and lead processes governing the Engineering Bill of Materials (E-BOM) and Airplane-Level Bill of Materials (ALBOM)).
BOM Systems & Config Services Responsibilities
Defines, documents, and interprets product requirements relevant to configuration, data and data management, and engineering processes.
Develops, documents, and implements plans and processes to ensure products meet technical, data, regulatory, and company requirements and maintain configuration control.
Tracks and reports data to monitor adherence to regulatory, data configuration and contractual requirements; supports audits and reviews.
Assists with development certification plans, integrated process architecture infrastructures, process models, product structure definitions and/or data requirements/data management processes.
Lead process management activities:
Develop and maintain assigned processes and process documentation.
Conduct three-year documentation reviews and other compliance tasks.
Deploy process solutions to address end-user and downstream organizational issues.
Lead system management for DCAC-PDM:
Manage the statement of work (SOW) and budgets for development and sustaining activities.
Oversee related process integrations and system changes.
Drive process improvement and deployment:
Develop and implement process improvements that increase productivity and support aggressive cost and flow targets.
Develop and execute process and project plans, policies, procedures, and operational goals.
Stakeholder and customer engagement:
Build and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
Engage with internal and external customer representatives on operations, scheduling, and project phases.
Oversight and approval:
Approve processes, technical approaches, and deliverables.
Provide engineering support as needed to resolve complex problems and meet schedules.
Export Compliance & Integration Responsibilities
Participate in Closing activities, collaborating with BCA executive reviewers and functional coordinators to ensure timely completion of RBPIs.
Manage RBPIs involving sensitive BCA IP, addressing executive questions and concerns until resolution.
Host Pre-Mediation and Mediation meetings as necessary to facilitate resolution.
Support RBPI Quality reviews and Routing activities.
Streamline RBPI requirements through RBPI Blankets/Exceptions and manage incoming RBPI Blanket Requests.
Create and maintain BCA RBPI processes and tools, ensuring effective documentation and communication.
Collaborate with Boeing Intellectual Property (BIP) and other Business Unit RBPI Delegates for company alignment.
Perform RBPI Infrastructure activities including server maintenance, metrics reporting, and requester training.
Improve reporting delivery to ensure actionable and accurate data that reflects the true status of RBPI activities.
Validate export requests and provide coaching to requester as appropriate.
Support development of deliverables related to BCA RBPI processes and tools.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
Associates' Degree or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of related work experience in regulatory compliance, information protection, release strategy, or related areas.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize data and develop actionable insights.
Excellent communication skills, with ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired)
Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business, Law).
9+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, information protection and release strategy, or related areas.
Experience with Agile methodology.
Familiarity with Boeing engineering processes and export regulations.
Experience with process improvement methodologies and tools.
Additional Information This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.
