The Digital Manufacturing Senior Architect will enhance business capability through analyzing, designing, and implementing Digital Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory systems, and support these systems to ensure production uptime. Working with other NGDV team members (Operations, Engineering, Quality, Digital Technology and outside vendors) to design, build, and enhance Digital Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory solutions effectively, the role ensures functional designs for existing and new systems are stable, reliable, secure, and scalable. YOUR IMPACT
Provide technical guidance in developing solutions for complex business problems across multiple technologies Serve as technical expert on the as‑is systems and detailed knowledge of to‑be solutions Define best practice standards and ensure adherence to them Engage teams with hands‑on approach to designing and implementing technical solutions Support the development of functional specifications, test cases, and design documentation Ensure data security and integrity by establishing operational guidelines, including privacy, security, editing, validating, and restart/recovery controls Support the development of control standards for NGDV Ensure uptime and health of supporting systems Leverage external resources to build digital skillsets to design and support solutions Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent Factory systems analysis and 8–10 years of overall experience Experience providing technical leadership/guidance and influencing others without direct authority Expertise on Digital Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory technology and tools (e.g., MES, IIoT, SCADA) Experience working independently and taking initiative Analytical, written, and verbal communication skills Attention to detail, problem solving, and decision‑making skills Proficiency with Windows Servers Standout Qualifications
Three (3) or more years of Digital Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory Solution Architecture Working knowledge of Rockwell PLCs or Siemens PLCs, OPC‑UA, and MQTT protocols Utilizing integrations (REST, SOAP, XML‑RPC, JSON‑RPC APIs, Web Services) and how to produce/consume data from various systems Understands the concepts of ERP systems as it pertains to work orders, routings, etc. Experience working directly with or integrating technology with Ignition and Sepasoft Working experience with AI and Video Analytics Pay Range
