Position will require travel, both domestic and international to visit various sites, participate in audits, continuous improvement events and reviews: Estimated travel: 20%
The Quality Systems and Compliance (QS&C) Lead for Sustainment Quality will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an integrated Quality Management System across the Military Sustainment Network, overseeing the creation and maintenance of network level documents, and for all aspects of the audit planning and execution across the network.
What You Will Do
Integration of existing sets of QMS across Sustainment Quality, OKC site, domestic depots, OCONUS depots, Supplier Quality and Field Quality activities into one common QMS.
Harmonize the Sustainment Quality QMS with the higher-level P&W QMS, and vice versa.
Support the activation of new sites to include development of applicable procedures, audit capabilities and certification.
Work with Discipline team to develop and implement appropriate metrics (and identify tools) to track quality performance across the network.
Work with Discipline team on training and qualification initiatives that raise knowledge of quality and QMS purpose and requirements.
Implement and/or improve existing Management Review, CAB and other core quality reviews to drive a more complete and decision producing set of quality reviews.
Operate a tiered Sustainment Operations audit program to track network performance, compliance, Government Property, EH&S, etc. Track associated non‑compliances to ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
By extension, this role will work with other key process improvement teams to coordinate activities and ensure procedures are properly integrated.
Qualifications You Must Have
Previous quality auditing experience in Aviation, Space or Defense or other regulated industry.
Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent of at least 8 years of quality auditing experience in a highly‑regulated industry; or Master’s Degree with 5+ years of experience.
Qualifications We Prefer
AS9100 Lead Auditor Certificate.
Prior Quality Systems and Lead Auditor experience preferred.
Previous experience delivering presentations to all levels of management for compliance activities/metrics.
Previous experience in the knowledge and use of CORE Principles including leading/coaching teams through use of RCCA tools.
Six Sigma or advanced Lean Certifications.

RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
